ABOUT THE PROJECT

KP Labs has developed the Smart Mission Ecosystem, an integrated set of hardware, software and algorithms designed to process data directly aboard a satellite. The solution increases mission autonomy and reduces the need to transmit large amounts of data to Earth. Smart Mission Lab, as a companion platform, enables remote testing of KP Labs’ computing units, such as Leopard, even before they are purchased and integrated into the mission.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

Modern space missions are generating ever-increasing amounts of data, and transmitting it to Earth involves delays, costs and the risk of information loss. The Smart Mission Ecosystem developed by KP Labs enables data processing directly on the satellite, speeding up response to events and reducing bandwidth requirements. With Smart Mission Lab, users can remotely test computing units and choose the right configuration for their mission.
