EnergoHut Engineering
Energy recovered from industry

ABOUT THE PROJECT

EnergoHut Engineering is a Polish engineering company specializing in the design and implementation of heat recovery systems from technological processes. The company’s solutions enable the utilization of energy contained, among others, in exhaust gases, process gases, and cooling systems of industrial and metallurgical furnaces.

The company carries out the entire investment process — from energy recovery potential analysis and concept development, through executive design and equipment production, to delivery, assembly, and participation in the commissioning of installations. Depending on technological conditions, it uses, among others, waste heat boilers, heat exchangers, recuperators, and evaporative cooling systems.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

Metallurgical and industrial processes require large amounts of energy while generating significant quantities of waste heat. This energy is often discharged with exhaust and process gases, even though it can be reused within the plant or transferred to the district heating system.

Heat recovery helps reduce the amount of energy needed from other sources, decrease fuel consumption, and improve the energy efficiency of the entire production process. This is particularly important in energy-intensive sectors such as metallurgy, where process temperatures are high and the potential for energy recovery is significant.

EnergoHut addresses these needs by designing installations tailored to the parameters of a specific technological process. The recovered heat can be used for heating water or air, producing process steam, or supplying district heating systems.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

EnergoHut combines design competencies with the ability to implement complete installations. The company manages investments from initial analysis and technical concept, through multi-discipline and executive designs, to production, assembly, and commissioning of equipment. This approach allows for adapting the energy recovery system to existing infrastructure and industrial process parameters.

The company’s solutions include various methods for managing waste energy. Heat can be recovered through the recuperation of exhaust and process gases, the use of waste heat boilers and heat exchangers, or the utilization of industrial furnace cooling systems.

Practical applications of the technology are demonstrated by projects for the metallurgical industry. At CELSA Steelworks in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, EnergoHut implemented, among others, heat recovery systems for walking beam furnaces with capacities of 180 and 250 tons per hour. In the case of the larger installation, the recovered energy can be transferred to the district heating network with a maximum power of 2.4 MW.
