Poland is no longer chasing the technology world – Poland is driving it. Innovations that define the future of payments, digital identity and security are emerging in our country. You no longer need a wallet, documents and sometimes even a phone. All you need is… a glance. And this is just the beginning. Here are 4 services that are not only technologically impressive, but also practical, inclusive and scalable. And most importantly, they are Polish.
Biometric Checkout Program – just look to make a purchase
Imagine walking up to the checkout, looking at the screen and walking out with your purchases. No wallet, no phone and no touching the terminal. This is not science fiction, but a Polish Mastercard pilot in cooperation with PayEye and Empik.
The program uses a fusion of facial and iris biometrics, giving access to one of the most convenient and secure payment methods in the world.
And what does the market say about it? As many as 90% of users rate the new method positively, and more than 60% say it is more convenient than any other form of payment. Importantly, this solution from Poland may become a standard throughout Europe.
Autenti – signature, delivery and identification with one click
Autenti is more than an electronic signature. It is a comprehensive platform that is eIDAS compliant and ready for eIDAS 2.0. It combines e-signature, e-delivery and e-identification, eliminating the need for paper documents, scans and bureaucratic absurdities.
The solution is already used by more than 11,000 companies, and more than 12 million documents have been signed. What does this mean in practice? Fewer trees cut down, faster processes and…. more time for people.
Autenti is proof that Polish technology can be not only innovative, but also socially responsible.

mCitizen – an office in your pocket
9.5 million users. More than half a million logins a day. mCitizen is one of the best-rated government applications in Europe. Thanks to it, Poles carry in their pockets a full-fledged identity card, driver’s license, student ID card and even… flood alerts. The app is a symbol of a digital state that doesn’t chase the citizen, but helps them.
In an era of fake news and distrust of public institutions, mCitizen proves that the digital state can be simple, trusted and human.
BLIK – the tap that makes life easier for millions
If you’ve ever paid for a coffee without a wallet, with a transfer to your phone number or with a code in an app – there’s a good chance you’ve used BLIKA. Since 2015, this service has revolutionized payments in Poland. Today, it is used by 18.5 million users, and its impact on the economy is 1.2% of GDP – more than the annual budget of Polish universities.
BLIK is proof that Polish technological thought is not only capable of creating global standards, but is also able to make a real impact on the economy and the daily lives of millions of people.
We Did It In Poland – we did it in Poland
Poland does not need to copy solutions from Silicon Valley. Because it is in Poland that services are created that respond to real social needs, develop in the spirit of sustainable development and are ready for global expansion.
Our technologies are fast, safe and green. Progress today is not about being “more digital,” but about living more simply through technology.
And that’s exactly what we are doing. In Poland. And this is exactly the kind of innovation we present to the world as part of our We Did It In Poland campaign, which aims to strengthen the image of Poland as an innovative and modern country, to raise awareness of the economic successes of Polish women and men both at home and abroad.
