ABOUT THE PROJECT

nQTb is an innovative application that uses QSAR models and machine learning algorithms to predict the genotoxicity and mutagenicity of titanium oxide (TiO₂) and silicon (SiO₂) nanoforms. It enables fast, low-cost and EU- and OECD-regulated chemical safety assessments of advanced nanomaterials without the need for animal testing. With an intuitive interface, users can easily define nanoform parameters, select appropriate cell models and generate QPRF-compliant reports to support the substance registration process.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

nQTb addresses the growing need for rapid, ethical and regulatory-compliant safety assessment of nanomaterials. Traditional tests are costly, time-consuming and rely on animal studies. nQTb enables virtual assessment of genotoxicity and mutagenicity of TiO₂ and SiO₂, eliminating the need for in vivo testing. It solves the problem of limited access to predictive tools for nanoforms and supports the digitization of the chemical registration process.
