ABOUT THE PROJECT

The mCitizen app is a free mobile application. It allows you to safely and conveniently use digital documents and quickly handle your official matters on your phone. The application facilitates the organization of daily life, saves time and provides constant access to data from state records, which you can use at any time you choose.

To use the app, you need a smartphone with Android operating system version 8.0 (or later) or iOS version 15 (or higher).

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

The mCitizen application is a response to the needs of citizens. The application includes not only documents, but also useful services that make everyday life easier and help save time.

Selected documents: mDowód – a full-fledged electronic identity document that is accepted, among others, in offices, banks, courts, clinics or at the notary, mDriving License, Large Family Card, student ID card and others.

Selected services: Zastrze PESEL, Safe on the Web, Flood Alert, Penalty Points, Safe Bus, Air Quality.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

mCitizen is one of the most popular government applications in Europe. In Poland, it has no competition. Already more than 9 million people use mCitizen available in the application – that’s almost 1/3 of adult Poles. As many as 600 thousand unique logins are recorded every day.

The app, developed by the Central Informatics Center (COI), gets very good ratings on iOS and Android platforms (4.8 out of 5 stars, feedback from more than 300 thousand users). More than 100 thousand people have activated notifications with network security alerts prepared by the CERT Polska team operating at NASK.
