ABOUT THE PROJECT

FlyEye is a multi-purpose unmanned mini class airborne system – a completely Polish solution designed to carry out a wide range of reconnaissance and surveillance missions. The system is combat-proven and can be used for battlefield observation, artillery fire control, signal retransmission, border patrolling and critical infrastructure monitoring, among others.

The system is distinguished by its very low logistical burden: it is modular, it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare for launch and assemble after landing, and the launch is carried out “by hand” – without a launcher or catapult. Landing can take place in any terrain, and the launch can even be carried out from the deck of a small vessel.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

In the realities of modern operations and security activities, rapid information acquisition, continuous observation and resilience to interference are crucial. FlyEye responds to these needs, enabling effective reconnaissance and observation missions in a variety of scenarios – from military operations to border protection and critical infrastructure monitoring.
The system can operate even when heavily affected by radio-electronic warfare (WRE) means, which increases its utility in an environment of interference.
FlyEye can be delivered in various configurations (including observation and retransmission), and its modularity allows it to integrate different payloads and mission modules. In the basic variant, it uses a dual head with a daytime camera and an uncooled thermal imaging camera, enabling effective day and night observation, as well as auxiliary applications (such as searching for people or locating fire outbreaks).

Concrete “performance” in the mini class – including a span of 3.6 m, takeoff weight of 12 kg, flight time of 2.5+ h (guaranteed), radio link range of 40+ km (RLOS), ceiling of 3500 m AMSL, and a quiet electric motor.
