Poland of Champions – a country where we have real talent

Champions of strategy and heart

Apart from being a card game, bridge is still a kind of theater of the mind, where logic, strategy and cooperation play first fiddle. Our young bridge players from the U16 and U26 teams proved this at the World Junior Championships in Italy, winning two gold medals. This was not a stroke of luck, but the result of years of hard work, trust in their partner at the table and the courage to make decisions under pressure.

Their success is proof that we are raising real female leaders in Poland!

The chemistry of success

Marek Gajownik, the world’s best young chemist and winner of the International Chemistry Olympiad, returned from Dubai to Olsztyn with gold. Next to him – silver and two bronzes for Polish students. In a world where science is the language of progress, Polish high school students speak it fluently and with the accent of the future. And their success is not an exception, but the systematically developed potential of our schools and teachers, who are often not visible, but without whom there would be no podium.

In math, we got a medal

On the other side of the world, in Australia, the Polish mathematics team won fourth place in the world, achieving the best result in more than half a century! Three gold and three silver medals show that Poland has no shortage of geniuses! This is especially important at a time when mathematics determines the development of artificial intelligence, technology and the economy.

Man versus machine – 1:0 for Poland

In the world of code and computers, such emotions are rare. But Przemyslaw “Psyho” Debiak’s story is moving. He defeated AI algorithms from OpenAI, winning the AtCoder World Tour Finals – one of the most prestigious events for programmers. Ten hours of intellectual marathon, determination and focus that even the machine could not predict. At the end he heard: “Good job, Psyho.” from Sam Altman himself, head of OpenAI. This is a sign that a man from Poland can enter the global pantheon of programming.

These are not exceptions. This is a new generation.

All these stories have a common denominator: they happen in Poland. They are proof that Poland is a country with enormous potential. We can talk about beautiful landscapes, heritage and culture. But today it’s worth saying out loud: we also have people who create world standards.

We Did It In Poland

Let’s not wait for the world to notice us. Let’s start talking about it ourselves. Poland can be proud. Not only of the past, but especially of what is happening here at the moment.

We did it in Poland. And we haven’t said the last word yet.
