ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are the only company in the world producing vegan lupin cheese, and we are constantly researching the combination of plant-based fiber and protein to create the healthiest and most nutritious plant-based cheese alternative. Depending on the type of product, SERio cheeses have between 5% and 15% protein, and the best melting properties. In addition, we have developed a unique blend of flavors that gives our cheeses a unique taste, comparable to traditional cheese.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

We are responding to the growing demand for healthy, plant-based cheese alternatives that not only provide high-quality protein, but also offer taste and texture similar to traditional cheeses. We know that the future belongs to a plant-based diet, but a change in eating habits won’t happen if vegan products aren’t good enough in terms of taste and melting properties. So our goal is to create plant-based cheeses that are a real alternative – not a compromise.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

We are the only company in the world producing plant-based cheese from lupine, a plant rich in protein and nutritional value. Our products have up to 15% protein, lots of fiber and less fat than other plant-based cheeses. Thanks to innovative technology, they stand out in terms of taste and melting. We source our main ingredient, lupin, locally in Poland, and we also work with other plant protein sources such as broad beans and peas. We make our packaging from recycled paper. We offer three categories of cheese, and soon we will also offer cream cheese. This year we plan to expand into the German market.
