ABOUT THE PROJECT

inPROBE® is an innovative diagnostic technology, using proprietary fiber optic biosensors, being developed for the rapid and precise detection of HER2 biomarkers and, potentially, other molecules both in vitro and in vivo. inPROBE® is being developed as a device that aims to enable real-time verification of the concentration level of the target under investigation. The technology has the potential for broad application in oncology, infectious diseases and targeted therapies. The company wants to offer a breakthrough diagnostic quality that can also have an impact on the effectiveness of patient treatment.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

The SDS Optic team wants to address the growing need for fast, precise and minimally invasive diagnosis of diseases, such as cancer or infectious diseases, where time is of the essence. Traditional methods, such as biopsies and laboratory tests, are time-consuming, can lead to questionable results and are sometimes burdensome for patients. inPROBE® is designed to enable testing and results on biomarker concentrations directly in the patient’s tissue, eliminating diagnostic delays, which can have a key impact on the timing of therapy implementation.
