International Pay As You Like campaign launches as part of We Did It In Poland

Poland shows the world how to pay modernly

The Pay As You Like campaign is the next installment of the international We Did It In Poland project, which was created through the cooperation of the EnabledPlus Foundation and the Cashless Poland Foundation. Its aim is to show that Poland has become a European leader in the area of modern cashless payments, creating a friendly and innovative ecosystem used by millions of consumers and thousands of entrepreneurs every day.

Since the inception of the Cashless Poland Foundation, we have been supporting the payment transformation in Poland, and today we can clearly see its effects – digital payments are growing not only in stores or e-commerce, but also in sectors such as transportation, services and automated sales. This shows that digitization is becoming a real standard and support in everyday life and conducting business. Our mission is to create the future of payments for the benefit of consumers and business – especially among small and medium-sized entrepreneurs who are increasingly willing to use modern payment technologies as a development tool-says Joanna Erdman, CEO of the Cashless Poland Foundation.

We show real change

Only a dozen years ago, digital payments in Poland constituted only a margin of transactions. Today – thanks to the cooperation of financial institutions, dynamic development of technology and consistent education – cashless payments account for nearly 70% of all retail transactions in Poland.

Poles are increasingly willing to pay with cards, phones, watches or other NFC-enabled devices. We are increasingly paying for parking, highway travel, public transportation or even shopping at vending machines without cash. This payment ecosystem not only simplifies the daily lives of consumers, but also really supports the development of Polish entrepreneurs – especially the SME sector – by facilitating sales, increasing efficiency and making services more accessible.

“Poland today has one of the most modern and accessible cashless payment ecosystems in Europe. We are directing this campaign to both consumers and entrepreneurs in Poland, as well as to tourists visiting our country – so that everyone can pay the way they like: conveniently, quickly, securely.”
– Anna Spychalska-Grzeszek, director of the marketing and product area of the Cashless Poland Foundation.

The TV spot prepared for the campaign will be aired in English-language media around the world, showcasing Poland as a country that successfully combines innovation, technology and everyday convenience of life.

We Did It In Poland campaign continues to grow

The We Did It In Poland campaign has received the patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Among its goals is to strengthen the image of Poland as an innovative, dynamic and modern country, making a significant contribution to the development of the European Union. The campaign is also intended to initiate conversation about Polish successes, activate Poles and encourage them to share in social media their stories, photos or videos related to what they have achieved, what inspires them in Poland, what or whom in our country they admire.

The next installment of the We Did It In Poland campaign is a response to the growing interest in what is happening in the Polish technology and financial sector. We see that the Polish cashless payment market is developing dynamically and can be an inspiring example of successful digitization. The aim of the campaign is to show this progress in a broader, international context . As proof that Poland not only adapts modern solutions, but does so on a large scale and with impressive efficiency,”says Olga Kozierowska, the originator of the We Did It In Poland campaign, member of the Council of Non-Governmental Organizations for Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, president of the WłączeniPlus Foundation.
