Tech2Energy

Tech2Energy
Energy converted into hydrogen

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Tech2Energy is a company developing proprietary PEM electrolyzers designed for green hydrogen production. The technology is being developed in Poland—from laboratory work and testing of individual components to systems designed for industrial applications. Electrolyzers use electrical energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. When powered by energy from renewable sources, the resulting hydrogen can be used as an energy carrier with a low emission footprint.

Tech2Energy solutions are designed in a scalable manner, allowing them to be adapted to different installation sizes and the needs of customers from the industrial, energy, and transport sectors.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

One of the challenges associated with the development of renewable energy sources is the variability of energy production from photovoltaic and wind installations. During periods of high production, energy surpluses may arise that cannot always be used directly or fed into the grid.

Green hydrogen production provides the possibility of converting part of these surpluses into fuel or feedstock that can be stored and used at a later time. Hydrogen can find application in industrial processes, energy generation, and selected areas of transport where emission reduction is particularly demanding.

Tech2Energy addresses these needs through the development of PEM electrolyzers enabling hydrogen production using electrical energy from renewable energy sources. The technology can support both better utilization of renewable energy and gradual replacement of fossil fuels in sectors difficult to electrify directly.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

Tech2Energy develops its own PEM electrolyzer technology, encompassing both research and development work and preparation of systems for industrial applications. Conducting successive stages of technology development in Poland allows the company to build its own competencies in the design, testing, and integration of hydrogen installations.

An important feature of the solution is its scalability. The modular design can enable adjustment of installation capacity to the needs of a specific customer and gradual increase of its efficiency as hydrogen demand grows.

PEM technology works well with variable energy sources such as photovoltaics and wind energy because it enables dynamic adjustment of electrolyzer operation to available power. The combination of proprietary technological work, scalable architecture, and concentration on integration with renewable energy sources allows Tech2Energy to develop solutions responding to the needs of the growing green hydrogen market.
