ABOUT THE PROJECT

OREC – cutting-edge AI-driven Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) solution with three highly accurate AI models for detecting and classifying vessels, aircraft, and vehicles on SAR imagery. OREC is powered by SSIG, an advanced Synthetic Signature SAR Simulator developed by SATIM. By generating high-fidelity, simulated SAR datasets, SSIG provides a cost-effective alternative to real-world SAR data, ensuring robust AI model training and operational versatility across a wide range of scenarios.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

Interpretation of SAR images is extremely difficult and complex – it depends on many factors, including the angle of incidence of the radar wave or the orientation of the object. OREC solves this problem by offering automated data analysis with very high efficiency, thus supporting decision makers, analysts and others in making strategic decisions in real time. Managing the huge volume of data generated by the rapid development of satellite technology remains an additional challenge. The use of artificial intelligence and machine learning significantly increases efficiency and automates processes in both the commercial and military sectors.
