ABOUT THE PROJECT

Genomtec S.A. is a medical diagnostics company specializing in mobile genetic testing platforms. Their Genomtec ID system enables rapid and precise detection of pathogens and genetic mutations from various samples (swabs, saliva, blood, etc.). The platform has high sensitivity, specificity and cost-effectiveness, making it ideal for primary care, pharmacies and emergency departments. Their OncoSNAAT solution uses isothermal amplification to detect genetic variants, supporting precision diagnostics and therapy selection (CDx) in personalized medicine.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

Genomtec’s technology addresses key challenges in healthcare, including antibiotic resistance. The Genomtec® ID platform, using passive microfluidic cards, enables simultaneous testing of up to 5 genetic targets, simplifying the diagnostic process and allowing it to be carried out by a wide range of medical personnel. Diagnostics are closer to the patient, reducing typical wait times from 24 hours to 20-45 minutes. The OncoSNAAT platform enables a personalized approach to therapy selection, especially in oncology, resulting in better treatment outcomes and fewer side effects.
