ABOUT THE PROJECT

AudioMovie is a mobile device application that allows audiodescription (AD) and, just as importantly, audion subtitles (AS) to be made available at movie theaters and film festivals to people who have difficulty reading subtitles in the theater.

AudioMovie supports accessibility of films and cultural events. It makes it possible to listen to audiotapes and audios on one’s own device, without the need to rent equipment. The project combines technology, culture and inclusivity to support institutions in creating accessible content. In addition, it is possible to provide audio tracks (voiceover, dubbing) in foreign languages.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

AudioMovie is a technologically and legislatively complete solution to eliminate exclusion from culture. It responds to the needs of blind, visually impaired, deaf and dyslexic people who have limited access to audiovisual content. Allows cultural institutions to meet the requirements under the Accessibility Act.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

AudioMovie is a mobile application that works well in large multiplexes as well as in intimate studio or outdoor cinemas. Audiences use their own smartphones, and the system supports multiple theaters simultaneously. At AudioMovie, security is a priority: it protects copyrights, guarantees the legitimacy of resources, and protects the cinema infrastructure.

AudioMovie is also about efficiency: precise synchronization, the ability for the user to tune the synchronization, responding to screening interference, cinema control of the screening.
