Astronika
Polish engineering at the heart of space missions

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Astronika is a Polish company in the space sector, founded in 2013 as a spin-out of the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences. It specializes in the design, production, integration and testing of advanced mechanisms and instruments for the space industry. It develops technologies used in orbital and planetary missions, working with leading international partners such as the European Space Agency (ESA) and NASA. The company is distinguished by its unique combination of scientific, engineering and manufacturing competencies, developing solutions for the most demanding space exploration projects.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

Astronika responds to the needs of modern space and exploration programs, which require extremely precise, reliable and lightweight mechanisms capable of operating in the extreme conditions of space. The company’s solutions support the operation of probes, rovers, satellites and research instruments, enabling complex operations both in Earth orbit and in interplanetary missions. Astronica’s technologies, such as ultralight antennas, safe release mechanisms without pyrotechnics, sampling penetrators or space-deployable structures, address the growing need for increasingly advanced, compact and energy-efficient systems for the space sector. They make world-class research, observation and exploration missions possible.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

Astronika designs and manufactures specialized space mechanisms – from antenna systems and deployable structures to penetrators, manipulators and release mechanisms that combine low weight, high reliability and energy efficiency. These are solutions created for the most demanding conditions of orbital and planetary missions.

The company’s solutions are used in prestigious projects with ESA and NASA, including missions to Mars, Jupiter or planetary defense. Presence in such advanced programs confirms not only Astronika’s innovation, but also its technological maturity and ability to compete in the European and global markets.

With its own workshops, laboratories, clean rooms and testing facilities, Astronika performs the full process of technology development – from concept and prototyping, to integration, to testing and finished components for space missions. Such technological independence shortens deployment times, reduces risk and strengthens the company’s edge in deep-tech projects.
