Bacteromic Ltd. is part of the Scope Fluidics Group and was established to develop the BACTEROMIC system for assessing the drug susceptibility of microorganisms.

Increasing microbial drug resistance is one of the most serious threats to global health. Bacteromic is responding to this challenge with an innovative system that enables full knowledge of resistance mechanisms and the sensitivity of bacteria to all available antibiotics.

WHAT NEEDS DOES THE INNOVATION ADDRESS?

Antibiotic resistance is a pervasive problem and a serious threat to public health. The large number of incorrectly prescribed, overused antibiotics has led to antibiotic resistance. Although antibiotics save lives, any use of antibiotics can lead to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in humans. That’s why it’s important to get an antibiogram before using an antibiotic to find out exactly which antibiotic will fight a particular infection.
